Susan started life as an inquisitive kid born into a large family in Chicago. Her parents’ deep faith instilled a sense of mystery and wonder, which set her path as a seeker in her early 20’s. She began a kundalini yoga and meditation practice in 1994, soon after the birth of her first child, when she was looking for ways to find balance with a new business, husband, and baby. Yoga and meditation enriched her experience of the Divine so much that it led her to complete Teacher Training in 2001. Susan received a Graduate Certification in Spiritual Direction from the Haden Institute in January 2012 after studying for two years. Her focus is on Dreamwork and Mystical Christianity with a Jungian approach.
Susan considers herself a contemplative Catholic-yogi and has a deep reverence for the roots of the Church as well as respect for other faith traditions, and the health of our planet. She recognizes many pathways to the Holy. Susan and her family recently moved back to her hometown roots of Chicago, (after spending 12 years in Charleston, South Carolina) where she lives with her beloved husband for over 20 years, Stuart, their youngest son, Charlie and their mischievous dog, Gypsy. They are also proud parents of their two college aged kids, Savannah and Sam.
Susan Pannier-Cass is a Certified Spiritual Director (Haden Institute, NC Jan/2012,) 500 hour/Level II Kundalini Yoga and Meditation Teacher, an Ordained InterSpiritual Minister from the Tree of Life School of Sacred Living in New Hampshire (June, 2017), and a graduate of Loyola University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work. She works with individuals and groups and has facilitated many workshops and classes on the connection of body-mind-spirit and finding the sacred within everyday life.
